Salary
- Assistant Professor Grade-II (on Contract Basis): Level-10, Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.6000 or Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.7000.
- Assistant Professor Grade-I: Level-12, Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.8000 with a minimum pay of Rs.30000.

Eligibility
- Citizen of India or a person registered as an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 (57 of 1955).
- New entrants (not existing faculty members of MANIT Bhopal) for all departments except Architecture and Planning must have a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and first class (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) in preceding degrees.
- New entrants (not existing faculty members of MANIT Bhopal) for Architecture and Planning (Level 12) must have a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and first class (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) in preceding degrees.
- New entrants (not existing faculty members of MANIT Bhopal) for Architecture and Planning (Level 10) must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with one year professional experience and first class (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) in preceding degrees (Bachelor degree onwards). Ph.D. is optional for this post.
- Horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is maintained as per Government of India norms, earmarked for:
- Blindness & low vision
- Deaf & hard of hearing
- Locomotor Disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy
- Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness
- Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clause (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness
- Serving regular faculty members of MANIT Bhopal are eligible to apply for higher positions in their own departments irrespective of their specializations and number of vacancies, if they satisfy other advertised criteria.
- Departments with no vacancies are open for internal applicants from within MANIT only: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Management Studies, Physics.
Requirements
- Assistant Professor Grade-II (on Contract Basis) (Level-10):
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D.
- Essential Requirements:
- For Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.6000: NIL
- For Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.7000: one year post Ph.D. experience of Teaching and Research in Institution of repute or Industry.
- Assistant Professor Grade-I (Level-12):
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D.
- Essential Requirements: three years after Ph.D. or six years total teaching and research experience in reputed academic Institute or Research and Development Labs or relevant industry.
- Academic Credit Points (considered for initial screening and shortlisting for presentation):
- Externally sponsored R&D Project(s) as PI/ Co-PI
- Patent(s) Granted
- Research papers published in SCI/SCIE/SSCI/ SCOPUS indexed journals (Paid Journals NOT allowed)
- Conference Papers Indexed in SCI/SCIE/ SSCI/ SCOPUS or any internationally renowned conference (Maximum 10 credit points)
- Text or reference books published on relevant subjects from reputed international publishers (Maximum 18 credit points)
- Text or reference books published on relevant subjects from reputed national publishers or book chapters in the books published by reputed international publishers (Maximum 6 credit points)
- Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs/ Universities/Educational Institutions must furnish a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) and ‘Vigilance Clearance’ from their employer/competent authority at the time of interview.
- All documents in original and a valid photo ID proof in original (Passport/ Voter ID/PAN Card/ Aadhar Card/Any Government issued ID) along with a photocopy must be produced at the time of presentation/personal interaction/interview.
Age Limit
- Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged, except for faculty with exceptionally brilliant research career and with ongoing or approved externally funded research projects.
