Eligibility
Essential:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Biosciences and Bioengineering/ in related fields AND M.E./M.Tech./M.S. (by Research)/M.S. (from abroad in Two year program only) in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biosciences and Bioengineering/ in related fields with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL category and minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG for SC/ST/PwD category.

• B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Biosciences and Bioengineering/ in related fields with Valid GATE score and at least CGPA of 7.0/10 or 65% of marks under GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL category and at least CGPA of 6.5/10 or 60% for candidates under SC/ST/PwD category.

• M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Botany/Zoology/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences/in related fields AND M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biosciences and Bioengineering/in related fields with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL category and minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG for SC/ST/PwD category.

• M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Botany/Zoology/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences/in related fields with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL category and minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG for SC/ST/PwD category.

Desirable:

• GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualification will be given preference.
• Prior knowledge and hands on experience with cyanobacteria, enzymes and basic bioinformatics tools / databases.

Age Limit
30 years

Age Relaxation
Upper age is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically challenged candidates.

HRA/Accommodation
HRA as per institute rules. The selected candidate is also eligible for on-campus Hostel & Mess facilities, subject to availability.

Cyanobacterial Culturing, Strain Maintenance, Bioprocess Optimization, Design of Experiments, Sustainable Bioproduction, Enzyme Extraction and Purification, Enzyme Assays and Kinetics, In Silico Analysis & Kinetic Modelling, Interpreting results and preparing reports.

Other Benefits
The selected candidate is eligible to register for a Ph.D. degree at NIT, Warangal as per institute rules. However, s(he) needs to apply for a Ph.D. position when the advertisement is open.
