Your tasks

  • Participation in neuroscience research projects focusing on the biology of microglia, including the acquisition of third-party funding (65%)
  • Conducting lectures in the subject of anatomy and cell biology for students of human medicine (25% – 2.6 LVS with a 65% part-time employment)
  • Further development of medical teaching courses (10%)

The employment is conducive to scientific qualification; the opportunity for scientific (further) qualification, e.g. for a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.), is provided.

Your profile

That’s what we expect

  • Completed university degree in medicine or a related natural science (e.g., biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine)
  • very good knowledge and experience in molecular biological and cell biological methods
  • Gender and diversity competence
  • Creativity and enjoyment of basic neurobiological research
  • Teamwork skills, flexibility and resilience
  • good German skills

That’s what we want.

  • Experience with flow cytometric, epigenetic and bioinformatic techniques and methods
  • Experience with animal experimentation methods (FELASA B)
  • Experience in immunohistochemical methods and microscopy
