Eligibility

• M. F. Sc (Fish Health Management/ Aquatic Environment Management/ Aquaculture/ Fish Biotechnology) OR M. V. Sc (Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology/ Microbiology/ Pharmacology/ Medicine) OR M. Sc (Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Animal Biotechnology with specialization in Fisheries).
• Minimum 65 % marks or 6.5/10 OCPA in PG (M. F. Sc or M. V. Sc or M. Sc) and 60 % marks 6.0/10 OCPA in UG (B. F. Sc or B. V. Sc or B. Sc).
• Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of fisheries and Punjabi.

Desirable

• Experience in Aquaculture/ Aquatic Environment Management/ Fish Disease/ Fish Microbiology/ Fish Health/ Epidemiology/ Biotechnology.
• Experience on working on molecular technique like isolation of bacteria, virus, fungi etc. pathogen. PCR, ELISA, blotting etc.
• The candidate should be able to extensive travelling and conducting fish/shellfish farms sample collection throughout Punjab state.

Job Responsibilities

• To collect, process and analyse samples using molecular techniques.
• Baseline survey, Data collection and data entry.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by PI.

Age Limit
Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

Additional Information

• The post is purely temporary and the service of the incumbent is liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice.
• The initial appointment will be for a period of six months or till the termination of project or subject to availability of funds in the said project, whichever is earlier.
• The incumbent will have no right whatsoever or absorption in the regular university service.
