University Assistant / Phd-Position (f/m/d) in the Field of Biochemical reconstitution of regulated protein metamorphosis as biological regulator.

Responsibilities

  • Participation in teaching
  • Biochemical reconstitution of large and dynamic cellular machines using recombinant proteins
  • Establish new purification protocols of recombinant proteins from E.coli and insect cells
  • Biophysical, biochemical and structural analysis of the reconstituted complexes
  • Writing a dissertation and co-supervising master’s students
  • Self-administration – travel, research stays, equipment responsibilities, sample management, orders

Admission Requirements

Completed master studies in chemistry, biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biophysics.

Desired Qualification

  • Basic knowledge of biochemical and molecular biology laboratory techniques (cloning, protein expression, protein purification)
  • Basic knowledge of biochemical and biophysical characterisation of proteins.
  • Excellent scientific communication skills through presentations, theses, or publications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,865.40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
