Your tasks

This is what awaits you 

As a trainee biology laboratory technician, you will conduct investigations on animals, plants, and microorganisms. You will observe and monitor experimental procedures, collect data, and participate in the analysis of the results. You will rotate through various research groups within the Faculty of Biology, working closely with scientists and technical staff. During this time, you will learn, among other things, how to plan, prepare, and conduct experiments, as well as how to use modern, high-resolution microscopy techniques.

Your profile

That’s what we expect

  • Advanced technical college entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification or general university entrance qualification
  • Ideally, good knowledge of natural sciences (especially biology and mathematics), German and English.
  • German language skills at native language level (C1 level)
  • Manual dexterity, stamina and reliability, responsible, careful and focused work ethic
  • Enjoyment of experimentation, willingness to learn and perform, teamwork skills

  • Attractive training allowance starting at €1,296.82 in the first year of training according to TVA-L BBiG.
  • Limited to the duration of the training; maximum 3.5 years
