Ph.D. in Life Sciences/ Environmental Science or allied disciplines

Experience of working on biodiversity in mountain environment, agroecosystems, working knowledge of RS-GIS, ecological modelling, R, etc.

*Applicants for RA position should send a short write-up highlighting experience in ecological research, skills (data analysis, scientific writing and communication), research interests, etc.

Junior Research Fellow: Rs.37,000/- + HRA 9% per month for first two years and Rs 42,000/- + HRA 9% for third year (subject to performance and promotion to SRF)

First class Masters Degree in Life Sciences/ Environmental Science/ Forestry/Relevant Social Sciences or allied disciplines with NET

Experience of working on biodiversity, ecosystem services, landscape mapping in mountain environment, agroecosystems, etc. Candidates with knowledge on RS-GIS, ecological modelling, R, socio-ecological assessment, etc. will be given preference

Non-NET candidates can apply and will be considered as Junior Project Fellow (JPF). Fellowship for JPF will be as per the norms of Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India

Field Assistant: (Rs.18,000/- + HRA 9% per month)

Atleast graduate in any discipline from recognized university

Field based positions in the project sites in Darjeeling and Sikkim. Candidates with basic knowledge on biodiversity and familiarity with landscape will be given preference
