Eligibility
Master’s degree in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Science/ Botany/ Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Plant pathology/ Plant physiology/ Microbiology with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of Research experience.

The following candidates are eligible for application with NET as exemption:

• PhD Degree holders.
• Professional Master degree holders (3 years).
• Master degree holders with Integrated degrees like B.Tech & M.tech (5 years).
• Candidates who have passed any National Level examination conducted by Central Govt Dept./ Agencies considered as NET (e.g., CSIR, CSIR-UGC, GATE, DBT-Eligibility test, Bioinformatics National Consortium, DAE-JEST, JGEEBILS, NBHM, ICMR-JRF, ICAR, Dop-GPAT).

Desirable Qualifications
Research experience in plant molecular biology, gene cloning, plant transformation (rice, wheat, mustard, chickpeas), tissue culture, wet lab work development and analysis of transgenic plants, and Scientific writing evidenced from publication/fellowship/Associateship/Training.
