The position is to be filled on a fixed-term basis for a period of four years. Salary classification will be based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-GU).
In our Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1507, 19 project leaders and approximately 100 staff members are working to mechanistically elucidate protein complexes and machinery at cell membranes, thereby making groundbreaking contributions to biomedicine and the treatment of diseases. The Research Training Group (IRTG), integrated within CRC 1507, is dedicated to the scientific training of doctoral candidates and supports them on their path to a successful doctorate. The IRTG coordinator’s responsibilities include managing and creatively developing this structured graduate training program. In addition, the coordinator supports the IRTG chair, organizes retreats and workshops for doctoral candidates, plans field trips to industry, and maintains the CRC 1507 alumni network.
Your tasks
- Further development and implementation of the innovative graduate school program
- Development and evaluation of scientific training
- Planning and coordination of events such as workshops, career talks and annual retreats
- Management of IRTG funds for scholarships and travel expenses
Your profile
- Completed university degree in biochemistry or a related scientific discipline, ideally a completed doctorate in one of the areas
- You want to further develop your skills in the field of science management.
- They possess excellent German and English language skills and a high level of communication ability.
- Your strengths include organizational talent, structured writing, and convincing presentation skills.
- They are a team player and value building and maintaining a professional network.
