Eligibility

• Master’s degree with NET from ICAR/UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC/State in the concerned discipline.
• For candidates with a Master’s degree, NET is compulsory along with one publication in a NAAS-rated refereed journal.
• NET is exempted for Ph.D holders registered prior to July 11, 2009, subject to specific conditions (regular mode Ph.D, evaluation by two external examiners, open viva-voce, two published research papers with at least one in a refereed journal, and two presentations in conferences/seminars).
• Retired University/College teachers of the concerned discipline are eligible.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Salary

• Master’s degree holder: Rs. 850/- per contact hour, up to a maximum of Rs. 35,000/- per month.
• Ph.D degree holder: Rs. 1000/- per contact hour, up to a maximum of Rs. 42,000/- per month.
• Additional remuneration of Rs. 5000/- per course per semester for conducting examinations, invigilation, setting question papers, evaluating answer books, and student counseling.

Terms and Conditions

• Engagement is on a contact hour basis, purely on a temporary, stop-gap arrangement.
• Incumbents have no right for regular appointment.
• The University reserves the right to terminate services at any time without assigning any reason.
• Incumbents must obey Academic Regulations of the University and submit class attendance to the HOD.
