Salary
Rs. 60,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) of Rs. 10,000/- per month. A contingency amount of Rs. 50,000/- per annum is also provided.

Location
Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005.

Duration
12 months from the date of joining. The position is purely temporary.

Eligibility

• PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Microbiology, Cellular & Molecular Biology, or Life Science from Indian universities/institutes with NIRF ranking of up to 20, or a PhD from abroad.
• Strong experience in cellular & molecular biology techniques, microbiology, and biochemistry.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Original research publications: at least 2 papers in Q1 or Q2 Journals or SCOPUS/Web of Science listed journals.

Desirable Qualifications

• Research experience in cellular & molecular biology techniques (microscopy, cloning, PCR, western blots, etc.), microbiology, and biochemistry.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 45 years.
• 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/Female/Physically handicapped candidates.
• All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Last Date
On or before 21 days from the date of advertisement on the BHU portal.
