Eligibility

• A Master degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding or Plant Physiology discipline with minimum marks as specified in the guidelines of UGC/ICAR (or an equivalent grade in point-scale wherever the grading system is followed), from Indian council of Agriculture Research accredited University.
• National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) / University Grants Commission (UGC) / Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or State Eligibility Test (SET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET).
• NET/SET/SLET shall be the minimum criteria for the direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor for all higher Education Institutions.
• NET/SET/SLET shall not be required for such Masters Programme in disciplines for which NET/SET is not conducted. However, Ph. D. Degree in relevant discipline shall remain the minimum eligibility for the appointment in such disciplines.
• The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registered or the Dean (Academic affairs) of the University concerned.

Requirements

• The appointment is purely on temporary basis for a period of eleven months.
• Besides teaching activity, candidates have to perform other essential duties related to teaching, including keeping record of attendance of the students, setting of question paper, setting of model answer paper, evaluation of answer papers, and preparation of results, as per the guidelines of Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Dapoli.
• Selected candidates should render their services with due responsibility and give the result of the scheme as well as all other information as per the requirement of the scheme to the concerned office and as per directives from the university.
• Selected candidates will be required to give an undertaking on stamp paper worth Rs. 100/-, stating that they will not leave the job during the appointment period and shall complete the assignment.
• Candidates will have to give one month’s advance notice if they desire to leave the job, failing which they will have to surrender one month’s salary.
• Candidates appearing for the interview must submit an RTPCR report to the Scrutiny Committee, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
• Candidates must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ with the application form of their present employer in case they are already in service.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit is 38 years, which is relaxable by 5 years to Backward Class candidates.
