Eligibility

• Scientist-E: Ph.D. in any discipline of Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Computational Biology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Molecular Biology/Agricultural Sciences/Plant Sciences/related disciplines; or Ph.D. in Engineering or Technology in disciplines like Chemical/Biomedical/Pharmaceutical engineering; or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in any branch of medicine/MDS/MVSc. Requires minimum five years of post-qualification experience in a responsible higher position in research/teaching Institute/University/industry with published research.
• Scientist-D: Ph.D. in any discipline of Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Computational Biology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Molecular Biology/Agricultural Sciences/Plant Sciences/related disciplines; or Ph.D. in Engineering or Technology in disciplines like Chemical/Biomedical/Pharmaceutical engineering; or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in any branch of medicine/MDS/MVSc. Requires minimum three years of post-qualification experience in a responsible higher position in research/teaching Institute/University/industry with published research.
• Nationality: Indian National only.

Age Limit

• Scientist-E (Post Code 14/26 – OBC(NCL)): Not exceeding 45+3 years for Direct Recruitment and 56 years for Deputation.
• Scientist-E (Post Code 15/26 – ST): Not exceeding 45+5 years for Direct Recruitment and 56 years for Deputation.
• Scientist-D (Post Code 16/26 – UR): Not exceeding 40 years for Direct Recruitment and 56 years for Deputation.
• Scientist-D (Post Code 17/26 – ST): Not exceeding 40+5 years for Direct Recruitment and 56 years for Deputation.
