Eligibility

• Doctoral Degree/Ph.D in (Agro-Metereology/Agronomy) Preferable.
• Or, Master’s degree in (Agro-Metereology/Agronomy) with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or equivalent overall grade point average with at least 3 years of respective teaching/research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/Other engagements, and one published research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (>4.0) Journal.
• Candidates having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification.
• All relevant degrees should be completed in ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges.

Job Description

• Preparing Agro Advisories in accordance with value added forecast issued for West Godavari, Eluru, NTR, Krishna, Guntur, Palnadu, and Prakasam districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh under AMFU, Lam.
• Collection and maintenance of met data, soil temperature and soil moisture (Six layers) data from cropped and non-cropped areas as per the guidelines of IMD.
• Uploading collected data to the IMD website on real time basis according to the station latitude & longitude twice in a day without any lapse.

Age Limit

• Not exceeding 40 years for men.
• 45 years for women.
• Age relaxation as per Government norms for SC/ST candidates.

Salary

• Rs.61,000/- + HRA per month (for M.Sc.(Ag.))
• Rs.67,000/- + HRA per month (for Ph.D.)
• HRA will be given as per the existing State Govt rates applicable in various places/locations.
