Salary

• Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA@27% for 1st and 2nd year; Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA@27% for 3rd year (as per ICAR norms).
• Young Professional-II: Rs. 42,000/- per month (consolidated).

Division of Biochemistry, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110012.

Eligibility

• Junior Research Fellow: Post Graduate Degree (M. Sc.) in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology from a recognized institution with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification.
• Young Professional-II: Post Graduate Degree (M. Sc.) in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Environmental Science/ Bioinformatics.

Requirements

• Desirable for JRF: Experience in gene cloning and characterization, Heterologous expression of gene, basic biochemical techniques/ handling of instruments used in metabolomics, etc.
• Desirable for YP-II: Experience in basic molecular techniques/ biochemical techniques/ Omics data characterization/ gene cloning, etc.

Age Limit
35 years as on the date of interview (Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/ women candidate as per govt. guidelines).
