Recruitment for Guest Teacher in Agriculture

Job Title: Guest Teacher (B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.))

Job Type: Temporary/Contractual for Academic Session 2026-27

Vacancies:

• Plant Pathology – 1
• Agril. Extension – 1
• Agronomy – 1
• Agril Engineering (Farm machinery and Power Engineering, FMPE) – 1

Responsibilities:

• Teach B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) courses.
• Perform duties related to teaching, examination, laboratory, sports, cultural activities, and other assignments as allotted.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent 6.50 on a 10.00 scale) and a good academic record.
• NET (National Eligibility Test) is compulsory for Master’s degree holders, along with one publication in a NAAS-rated referred journal (for disciplines where NET is conducted for Assistant Professor posts).
• NET essentiality is waived for Ph.D. degree holders provided the Ph.D. was obtained with course work as per UGC Regulation 2009, and the candidate has at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of 4 or higher by the application submission date. Ph.D. without course work does not qualify for NET exemption.

Honorarium per working day (maximum per month):

• Ph.D. and NET Qualified – Rs. 1800/- (Max Rs. 40000/-)
• Ph.D. Passed – Rs. 1800/- (Max Rs. 40000/-)
• M.Sc./M.Tech and NET Qualified – Rs. 1500/- (Max Rs. 36000/-)
• Only M.Sc./M.Tech (Agri.) Passed – Rs. 1200/- (Max Rs. 26000/-)

Age Limit:

• Maximum 40 years.
• 5 years relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, and women candidates as per Chhattisgarh Government rules.

Important Notes:

• The posts are purely temporary and contractual for one academic session or until a regular teacher is appointed, whichever is earlier. Selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment.
• Services may be withdrawn with one week’s notice if performance is unsatisfactory.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Selection will be based on university guidelines and norms; canvassing will lead to disqualification.
• Selected candidates must submit an affidavit on stamp paper (Rs. 50/-) agreeing to the terms and conditions.
