Your Responsibilities
- You will record and analyse vegetation and landscape dynamics, including data collection, curation, and analysis, as well as related work on articles for scientific journals. In particular, analyses using empirical dynamic modelling (EDM) and state space modelling will be applied
- Independent and collaborative research with a focus on vegetation ecology (theory and field work)
- Independent teaching of courses and (Co-)supervision of students
- Opportunity to work on a dissertation
Your Profile
- Strong interest in vegetation ecology and mathematical modelling of biological populations
- Completed master’s degree in biology, plant sciences, or a related subject
- Good knowledge of English and German
- Good programming skills (especially in the R programming language)
- Ability to conduct independent research on an interdisciplinary project
- Strong team and organizational skills
- High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work
- Personal and social skills for working in international teams
- Knowledge of the application of EDM and state space models desirable
