The Goping lab in the Department of Biochemistry has an opening for a postdoctoral research fellow in breast cancer research. This is a one-year position. The project involves characterization of breast cancer Patient Derived Organoids (PDOs). PDOs are generated from an individual patient tumor and are cultured as 3D organoids. These PDOs are fully characterized at the genomic and transcriptomic levels through next-generation-sequencing with extensive biomarker analyses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will investigate novel biomarkers using multiple structure/function molecular biology approaches, proteomics, and microscopy. These studies will provide valuable insight on PDO potential as precision health tools.
