The Nau Research Group at Constructor University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) to join our dynamic, international team starting on April 1, 2026.
Our research is positioned at the exciting interface of physical-organic and supramolecular chemistry. We develop innovative supramolecular assemblies for applications in sensing, catalysis, and biological systems.
Our project’s span:
- Synthesis and optical-spectroscopic characterization of novel organic-inorganic hybrids
- Fluorescent dyes, chemosensors, and assays
- Exploring supramolecular interactions in aqueous environments
- Applications in drug delivery and catalysis using host-guest complexes
- Membrane transport studies using artificial vesicles and live cells
Your profile
We are looking for a talented and creative researcher with the following qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in organic chemistry or biochemistry, or mass spectrometry
- Proficient in NMR, HPLC, UV-vis, fluorescence spectroscopy
- Familiarity with supramolecular chemistry
- Hands-on experience with cellular assays would be advantageous
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamworking abilities; experience supervising students is an asset
- Interest to contribute to teaching
