The position is to be filled on a fixed-term basis for a period of four years. Salary classification will be based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-GU).
In our Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1507, 19 project leaders and around 100 employees are working to mechanistically elucidate protein complexes and machinery at cell membranes, thereby making groundbreaking contributions to biomedicine and the treatment of diseases.
The Research Training Group integrated within the Collaborative Research Centre 1507 (CRC 1507) is dedicated to the scientific training of doctoral candidates and supports them on their path to a successful doctorate. The IRTG invites you to apply for doctoral positions within our research network. Requirements/Job Profile/Your Qualifications:
- a completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, molecular biology or a comparable discipline
- very good English skills (written and spoken)
- practical scientific expertise and sound theoretical foundations in one of the research fields
- Creativity, flexibility, and a high degree of scientific curiosity
- Enthusiasm for basic research and a strong willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams
