M.Tech/M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life science with minimum 60% aggregate.

Eligibility

Candidates must have qualified in at least one of the following national-level examinations:
CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship)/ GATE/ Any other equivalent national-level examination conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies (e.g., DBT, ICMR, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD)

Candidates with experience in protein purification, recombinant protein expression, Isothermal Titration calorimetry, X-ray crystallography and lectin biology can apply. Since this is a multi-institutional collaborative project, the selected candidate must be willing to travel frequently between VIT, Univ of Hyderabad and MSSRF, Chennai for research work and data collection. Ability to work independently in a collaborative, multi-lab environment, with strong scientific writing and presentation capabilities. If performed well, the candidate can be shifted to Ph.D. course work as per university norms.

Stipend

With GATE/NET qualification :
JRF: Rs. 37,000/ + 10% HRA (Rs. 3,700)/ month (1-2 years)
SRF: Rs. 42,000/ + 10% HRA (Rs. 4,200)/month (3-4 years)
For candidates without GATE/NET qualification, the stipend will be revised as per Institute norms.
