Nature and duration of the Post: Purely on contract basis up to one year from the date of appointment or till the end of the project whichever is earlier.

Age Limit:  The candidate should be Minimum 21 years of age and maximum 45 years of age as on date of interview (with relaxation as per rules) 

Essential qualification: 

1. Postgraduate in Fisheries Science/Marine Science/Environmental Science/Aquaculture/Zoology/Life Science
2. M.F.Sc or M.Sc in Marine Biology/Fishery Science/Aquaculture/Zoology/Life sciences/Environmental Science

Desirable Qualification: 

1. Experience in Climate change related research/fishery data analysis/statistical modeling/Oceanographic sampling/handling of oceanographic equipment
2. Experience in water and sediment quality analysis
3. Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journal

Terms & Conditions:

1. Interested eligible candidates can attend along with their original and self-attested copies of the testimonials, certificates, proof of age, mark sheets etc. as required in the advertisement.
2. The above position will be filled on contractual basis.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for the interview.
4. Candidates should produce the No Objection Certificate from their present employer, if employed.
5. If any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR-CMFRI, the candidate intending to attend the interview has to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties relationship in writing as details in ANNEXURE-II.
6. Candidates having marks issued in the form of CGPA/OGPA should produce approved conversion table/formula at the time of reporting for interview, otherwise their candidature will not be considered.
7. The appointment of JRF would be on full time basis and he/she would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of engagement.
8. The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time bound and are co-terminus with the project.
9. Decision of Director, ICAR-CMFRI will be final and binding in all respects
