We are looking for people for the position:
Chief Specialist – Scientific and technical Specialist (F/M)
In the project:
FENG.02.01-IP.05-M038/25, TREAT-EXP: Development of therapeutic strategies for human genetic diseases caused by nucleotide repeat expansion.
The FENG.02.01-IP.05-M038/25 project is carried out under Measure 2.1 MAB FENG, call 2/2025 of the Foundation for Polish Science, co-financed by the European Union from the funds of Priority 2 of the European Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027 Programme (FENG).
Place of work: TREAT-EXP Gene Therapy Development Center in the building of the Center for Advanced Technologies of Adam Mickiewicz University (Morasko)
Scope of duties:
- Providing general laboratory support to two research groups (Prof. K. Sobczak and Dr Anna Baud) in their daily work, mainly in the field of molecular biology (e.g. isolation of nucleic acids, proteins) and performing other laboratory tasks (e.g. preparation of basic buffers)
- preparing materials for sterilisation and carrying out the sterilisation process
- cooperating with scientists during the implementation of the project
- supervision and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment
- checking stock levels, monitoring and disposing of laboratory waste in accordance with applicable procedures

Essential requirements:
- Master’s degree in molecular biology/genetics or a related scientific field obtained before the start of the project
- Knowledge of laboratory work principles and health and safety procedures
- very good skills in basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques
- ability to operate basic laboratory equipment
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- good organizational skills, accuracy
- English – advanced level in speaking and writing
Desirable requirements:
* experience in laboratory work (wet lab)
* experience in microscopic methods
* experience in mammalian cell culture
* experience in bioinformatics
* co-authorship of the publication

Your personal data will be processed, including stored, for a period of six months following the completion of the recruitment process. Your personal data may also be processed thereafter, for a period specified in applicable legal provisions (document retention periods, if applicable, as well as limitation periods for claims).
