Essential Qualifications

  • Professionals having proven competency and success in their area of specialization, with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Minimum Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Laboratory Sciences, or a related discipline.

Desirable Qualifications

  • PhD in Public Health, Nutrition, biochemistry or any area of Life Sciences involving Clinical Research.
  • 8 years of experience in project management, public health research, laboratory research coordination and prior experience in multi-institutional stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of strong project planning and documentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality systems and QA/QC.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • PhD will be considered as 4 year’s experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete degree).
  • MPH will not be considered as any experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project implementation plans, timelines, milestones, and work plans; coordinate implementation across multiple partner laboratories and collaborating institutions; monitor project progress against deliverables and timelines; identify implementation bottlenecks and develop mitigation strategies; organize regular project review meetings and prepare meeting minutes; ensure effective communication among investigators, laboratories, collaborators, and funding agencies.
  • Laboratory Capacity Building: Coordinate procurement and installation of laboratory equipment; monitor establishment of laboratory infrastructure and testing capabilities; coordinate development and implementation of laboratory SOPs; support accreditation readiness and quality management initiatives; plan and coordinate training workshops for laboratory personnel; organize hands-on laboratory training sessions; coordinate expert visits and mentoring activities; maintain training records and competency assessments; monitor implementation of QA/QC systems across participating laboratories; monitor adherence to SOPs and quality standards; coordinate proficiency testing and external quality assessment activities; track corrective and preventive actions; support documentation for laboratory quality management systems; microbiological methods for folate estimation; stable isotope studies for iron bioavailability and energy requirements; validation of point-of-care (POC) diagnostic technologies.
  • Research Coordination: Multi-center laboratory evaluations; data collection and study monitoring; coordinate ethics committee submissions; track regulatory approvals and renewals; ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor requirements; maintain study documentation; coordinating regular review meetings with collaborating institutes.
  • Monitoring, engagement and Reporting: Liaise with collaborating laboratories and research institutions; coordinate communication with funding agencies; organize stakeholder meetings and scientific advisory committee meetings; facilitate collaborations among investigators; support dissemination of project outcomes; develop project monitoring indicators; track project performance and milestones; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports; maintain project dashboards; present progress updates to investigators and stakeholders; coordinate documentation for project reviews; monitor project expenditures against approved budgets; coordinate procurement activities; track equipment, consumables, and resource utilization; assist with financial reporting; coordinate vendor interactions.
