During your training you will learn:

Working with bee colonies;
the production, harvesting and processing of bee products;
the propagation of bee colonies and raising of queen bees;
the manufacture and maintenance of beekeeping equipment, including cleaning and maintenance work (e.g. cleaning, caring for, scraping).

Vocational school attendance / inter-company training:
In the first year of training, vocational school takes place in Ludwigsburg with other animal husbandry trainees. From the second year onwards, the theoretical content and vocational school instruction are provided in block format as inter-company training in Celle (Lower Saxony) (2 x 3 months, each from January to March). Training period can be shortened if certain requirements are met.

They bring with them:

At least a very good secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent qualification;
strong interest in bees and no allergy to bee venom;
a responsible, proactive and committed work ethic
; enjoyment of teamwork
; open communication skills and proficiency in emails and MS Word
; practical experience (e.g. on a farm, in a shop or in customer service) is an advantage

Excellent German skills, at least B2 level (vocational school)
