Salary

• Senior Research Fellow: ₹37,000 + HRA/month for 1st and 2nd year; ₹42,000 + HRA/month for 3rd year, as applicable under ICAR norms
• Field Assistant: ₹20,000 + HRA/month

Eligibility
For Senior Research Fellow:

• Essential: Master degree in Science (Plant Pathology/ Entomology/ Nematology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Molecular Biology/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent Degree) with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or a Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines as prescribed under ICAR guidelines.
• Desirable: Experience in plant pathology/entomology/nematology/molecular biology laboratory related works. Basic knowledge of Computer (MS office, Excel, PPT etc).

For Field Assistant:

• Essential: Graduate in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/Life sciences from Recognized University in India.
• Desirable: Experience in plant pathology/microbiology laboratory related works. Basic knowledge of Computer (MS office, Excel, PPT etc).

Age Limit

• Senior Research Fellow: Upper age limit is 35 Years.
• Field Assistant: Upper age limit is 50 Years.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ ST/ woman candidates, Upto 10 years for Differently Abled candidates and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), is applicable as per Govt. of India/ICAR Rules.

Duration

• For both posts: For 1 year (can be extended for further one year on the basis of satisfactory services). Completion date of Project is initially upto 31st March 2027.

• Virtual interview will be held in the 4th week of October (tentatively). After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be intimated by e-mail and phone for interview.

• No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, selected candidate has no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR.
• The decision of Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
• The Director reserves the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
• The originals will be verified at the time of joining.
• If any information of the candidate is found to be incorrect or concealing any facts, his/her candidature to the interview/ selection to the post is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
• Emoluments may be paid as per satisfaction of the work by the PI and fund availability by the funding agency.
• In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi only.
