Development of climate-resilient mustard through multiplex genome editing of abiotic stress-related genes

Nature and Period of Post
Purely temporary appointment for the remaining duration of the project, presently up to 15 February 2027, or project termination, whichever is earlier. Appointment is subject to release/availability of the third-year project funds.

Salary
Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA as applicable under DST/GoI norms and subject to the sanctioned project budget.

Age Limit
As per applicable DST/HSCSIT/CUH/Government rules.

Essential Qualification
As per DST rules: Qualification prescribed for JRF with two years of research experience. JRF qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course, selected through (i) CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE, or (ii) National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.

Desirable Qualification

• Relevant hands-on research experience in plant molecular biology, molecular cloning, plant tissue culture/transformation, CRISPR/Cas-based plant genome editing and molecular characterization.
• Experience with Brassica/mustard or other crop transformation/genome-editing systems will be preferred.
