Eligibility

• Ph.D. degree holders or those having a Thesis submission certificate in Computational biology.

Requirements

• Molecular and computational investigation of visceral adipose tissue microbiome–host metabolic interactions in obesity-associated Type 2 diabetes.
• Adipose tissue/microbiome characterization, metagenomic and metabolomic data analysis, integration of multi-omics datasets, reconstruction and analysis of host and microbial genome-scale metabolic models.
• Computational approaches including Flux Balance Analysis (FBA), Flux Variability Analysis (FVA), metabolic pathway analysis and in-silico perturbation studies.
• Contribution to data interpretation, statistical/bioinformatic analysis, experimental validation, scientific reporting, presentations and manuscript preparation.

Age Limit

• 35 years (Relaxation as per GoI norms is applicable).

Tenure of Post

• Project duration is 4 years.
• Initial appointment is 1 year (with extension after one year).
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
