Project Description
This project aims to incorporate solubilised cell derived matrices (CDMs) in alginate gels for encapsulating islet cells. The project involves thorough molecular characterisation of CDMs, alginate gels, and molecular biology assays for characterising viability and functionality of islets.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with relevant research experience in biomaterials characterization, extracellular matrix engineering, and regenerative medicine.
• Expertise in mammalian cell culture, extracellular vesicle isolation and characterization, hydrogel synthesis, molecular biology, protein biophysics, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), confocal microscopy, and flow cytometry.
• Hands-on experience in translational and interdisciplinary biomedical research.
• Qualifying degree(s) must be from a recognized University/Institute.

Salary
Consolidated salary Rs.56000 + 30% HRA (if applicable) p.m.
