Applications are invited on plain paper for the following post in an SERB-sponsored project, “Investigation of stress physiology and changes in grain fatty acid composition in Brassica juncea against fluoride toxicity”.

Essential Qualification-: Candidate should have an M.Sc. degree in Environmental Science/Botany/Chemical Science/Earth Sciences or equivalent with a good academic record and experience in Environmental field work/soil, water, plant sample analysis.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates with Environmental fieldwork/Soil analysis anions and cations through IC, physiochemical properties of soil and water, analysis of fatty acids samples from plants through GC,in addition to the above-mentioned essential qualifications, would be preferred. Candidates unwilling to perform field collection of samples from agricultural fields in NCR, should not apply.
Salary: Rs. 37,000 + 30% HRA (candidates with CSIR-UGC NET including LS or GATE) or 30,000+ 30% HRA per month (candidates without CSIR-UGC NET including LS or GATE) (Please refer ANRF/OM/N-01/2024 dated 14th Oct 2024).
Nature and tenure of the position: The position is purely temporary in nature and subject to the availability of funds. The position is to undertake sampling and analysis work of plant samples/data collection and detailed analysis of soil, and plant samples from NCR and adjoining states, using respective analytical techniques, field observations, usage of basic computer and statistical tools, leading to publications. The position will be co-terminus with the tenure of the project (i.e., approx. 20 months from July 2026). However, if the fellow’s progress is unsatisfactory, his/her services may be terminated from the project at any time.
