Eligibility

• M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Zoology or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Two years of experience in R&D in a Scientific organization.

Requirements

• Essential Experience: Strong background in fruit fly genetics, handling and experimental systems, experience in molecular biology, gene expression and cell/tissue specific studies.
• Desirable Experience: Familiarity with confocal microscopy, and CRISPR-CAS9 based methods is advantageous.

Job Description

• Carry out day-to-day research activities in Dr Tina Mukherjee’s lab.
• Contribute to ongoing research programs in genetics, immunometabolism, and growth regulation.
• Conduct experiments in molecular biology and Drosophila genetics, including knockdowns, imaging, and functional assays.
• Contribute to ongoing research programs in immunometabolism, growth regulation, and genetic tools development.
• Assist in project-related documentation, data analysis, and preparation of reports and lab presentations.
• Work independently as well as in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Not more than 35 years

Tenure
Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
