Project Technical Support – III position for a project titled- “Implementation Research to develop an optimised model of a comprehensive intervention package and delivery strategies to reduce stillbirth”

Job Title: Project Technical Support – III
Number of Posts: 03 Positions (OBC-02, ST-01)
Salary: Rs.28,000/- + HRA per month (Consolidated)
Location: Project work site at Udaipur or anywhere in India, depending on project requirements.
Eligibility:

• Essential Qualifications:
• Graduate in Science/BAMS/BHMS + 3 years’ post Qualification experience.

OR

• Post-Graduate degree (Zoology/Biochemistry/Sociology /MPH/ Population Sci.)
• Desirable: 2 Yrs Experience on maternal and child health patients/Community-based health survey/ field work /laboratory work
• Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years on the date of the walk-in interview / written test. Age relaxation as per rules is applicable.

Tenure: Initially for up to one year (extendable as per norms). However, the position is terminus at any point in time.

General Information (Applicable to All Positions)

• All positions are purely on a temporary basis.
• Candidates who have rendered service in ICMR Projects / ICMR Institutes for more than three years are not eligible.
• Advertised positions are tentative without commitment for filling. Recruitment depends on project requirement and approval.
• Emoluments are project specific and may vary. Payment depends on fund availability.
• The Director & Appointing Authority reserves the right to accept / reject any application without assigning reasons.
• Selected candidates should work for a period of at least one month, failing which emoluments drawn will be forfeited.
• Engagement can be terminated with one-month notice from either side.
• Candidates already employed must submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their present Employer / PI at the time of Walk-in-interview / written test.
• Project positions are temporary; incumbents will have no claim for regular appointment at ICMR-NIHR or continuation of services in any other project.
• Results of final selection will be placed on ICMR-NIHR and ICMR websites.
• Recruited project persons are governed as per ICMR project staff recruitment guidelines and will give undertakings before joining.
• Qualifications should be achieved from recognized Institutions / Universities only.
• Experience certificate must clearly state the nature of work, employment dates, and be from a reputed institution / organization recognized by the relevant authority.
• Age relaxation is admissible for SC / ST / OBC candidates, retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates (including projects), Ex-servicemen, and for experienced/skilled persons based on service in other research projects, as per Central Government / DoPT / ICMR instructions. SC / ST / OBC age relaxation applies only to reserved positions.
• EWS reservation conditions are governed by DoPT OM No. 336039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 19.01.2019 and 31.01.2019. EWS candidates must submit an “Income and Asset Certificate”.
• ICMR-NIHR reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions, cancel recruitment, or re-advertise positions without assigning reasons.
• Date of Interview / written test may change; candidates are advised to check websites regularly for updates.
• Candidates applying for more than one project position must apply separately for each.
• Experience is counted from the date of completion of minimum essential educational qualification.
• Submission of incorrect or false information will disqualify candidature.
• No benefits of Provident Fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical, etc., will be available.
• Age, Qualification, Experience etc., will be reckoned as on the date of Walk-in-interview / written test.
• No TA / DA will be given for attending Walk-in-interview / written test.
• Merely fulfilling essential qualification / experience does not guarantee selection.
• Candidates failing to bring original certificates at joining will not be allowed to join.
• Candidates reporting after scheduled date / time will not be allowed to appear for Walk-in-interview / written test.

Selection Process

• Only eligible candidates will appear for Walk-in-interview / written test.
• If more than 30 candidates, a written test may be taken.
• Qualifying marks for written test: SC/ST: 35%, UR / OBC / EWS: 40%.
• If a written test is conducted, candidates scoring qualifying marks will be interviewed:
• For Project Technical Support – III: Generally, Up to Top 12 candidates.
• Selection will be based on performance in the written test / interview, subject to qualifying skill test (where applicable).
• Final merit will be prepared based on marks from the written test and interview.
• If less than 30 candidates, the written test may not be conducted, and merit will be based on interview marks.
