Research Associate – Plant & Food Research

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative team member to support the delivery of innovative research and development programmes. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that advance our scientific and commercial objectives. What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua

  • Support the planning and delivery of research and development activities
  • Undertake laboratory , technical, analytical or project based work
  • Collect, analyse and report high-quality data
  • Support the development and implementation of new scientific methods and processes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a positive team culture

To be successful in this role, the minimum qualifications/skills required are:

  • Relevant qualification (BSc/MSc) or equivalent experience in a scientific/technical field
  • Strong organisaitonal skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving and ability to manage competing prioritites
  • Commitment to learning, quality, safety and professional integrity

This position sits under the current Plant & Food Research group of the Bioeconomy Science Institute.
