Research assistant position in tissue analysis

Staffan Strömblad’s research group at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge, is looking for a Research Assistant. The research group conducts research on how the mechanical properties of tissue affect cancer development. We use experimental models and patient tissues for these studies. The aim is to increase the understanding of cancer development and to exploit opportunities to use the new knowledge for clinical diagnostics.

Your role

The research assistant will participate in projects regarding early cancer development by performing tissue labeling and analyzing these labels digitally, primarily through the use of the software QuPath.

The position is a fixed-term contract of 6 months with the possibility of a 6-month extension. The scope is 70%.

Who are you?

You have a Master’s degree in life sciences. You have good experience in tissue labeling and quantitative digital tissue analysis with QuPath. You also have documented good knowledge in immunology and experience in analyzing different types of resident immune cells in tissues.
