While the position encourages increasing independence, the candidate will benefit from close interaction with experienced researchers and a mentoring environment.

The contract is renewable and provides an excellent opportunity to build a competitive academic profile and prepare for future career steps, including independent research position

Informal inquiries and consultation with the group leader prior to application are encouraged.

Applications will be evaluated by a departmental committee, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview (in person or online).

  • Demonstrate motivation, curiosity, and a proactive approach to research
  • Be able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Have experience relevant to plant root biology or a closely related area
  • Show willingness to develop new skills and research directions

Previous postdoctoral experience is most welcome. Candidates with a clear interest in developing their own research profile are especially encouraged to apply.
