The Rector of the Jagiellonian University announces a competition for the position of assistant professor (F/M) in the group of research workers at the Brain Research Center

Eligibility criteria:

The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in art. 113, 116 paragraph 2 item 3) of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science, and in accordance with §165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University, meet the following qualification criteria:

• have at least a doctoral degree;
• have appropriate scientific achievements;
• take an active part in scientific life.

Additional criteria necessary for employment (indicated in order of importance):

• PhD in a field related to cognitive neuroscience, psychology, biology, physics, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• Documented scientific achievements in the field of neuroscience, confirmed by international publications.
• Experience in laboratory work in the field of research using neuroimaging techniques, in particular fMRI and EEG.
• Experience in managing and implementing research projects financed from external sources.
• Proficient knowledge of MRI/EEG analysis software (AFNI, FSL, FreeSurfer, EEGLab, BP Analyzer).
• Knowledge of programming languages ​​(Matlab, Python, R).
• Fluent knowledge of English.

Scope of duties / Description of tasks:

• Conducting scientific research at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, biology and physics.
• Participation in research projects carried out at the Brain Research Center.
• Preparation of scientific publications in international journals.
• Obtaining grants.
• Active participation in the scientific life of the unit.
