Applications are invited for a post of a Field Assistant/Technical Assistant in a DBT funded Project entitled: ” Dissecting functional relevance of sorghum MYB032/019 for yield optimization under constrained environmental conditions” at School of Biotechnology, JNU. The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis, initially for one year as a field assistant that may be extended to another year based on the performance.

Position: Field Assistant (01)

Essential Qualifications & Experience: Candidate must have Bachelor of Science degree with minimum of two year experience of working in a plant molecular biology laboratory as well as dealing with the paperwork related to the project work.

Desirable: Basic knowledge of working in the plants tissue culture laboratory, experience of growing and maintaining plants in greenhouse as well as in field conditions and basic computational skills would be a plus.  

Salary: Rs. 20,000 per month + Applicable HRA

Appointment will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on qualifications/experience depending on the number of applications received. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview date and time.
