Your tasks
Research tasks (65%):
- Support for the establishment of cell culture and on-ovo laboratories
- Conducting and interpreting experiments on human and murine primary cells, cell lines and stem cells
- Processing and analysis of biological samples
Teaching (25% – 4 hours per week for full-time employment):
- Conducting courses including preparation, as well as preparing, conducting and evaluating examinations.
- Instructions for technical staff, doctoral candidates and student assistants
Self-governance tasks (10%):
- organizational tasks
- Assistance with ordering and procuring laboratory equipment and materials
The employment is conducive to scientific qualification; the opportunity for scientific (further) qualification is provided.

Your profile
That’s what we expect.
- Completed university degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, food chemistry or another suitable natural science subject
- completed doctorate in a relevant field
- Cell culture experience (ideally also with the cultivation of pluripotent stem cells)
- Experience with molecular biological methods
- Interest in translational, patient-centered research
- Interest in hormonal and metabolic regulatory systems
- Creativity and independent work style
- Teamwork skills, communication skills in German and English, flexibility and resilience
- Gender and diversity competence
That’s what we want.
- Experience in supervising students (e.g., Bachelor’s and Master’s students)
- Experience in writing scientific papers, as evidenced by scientific publications, as well as experience in investigating molecular mechanisms
- Experience in the field of endocrinology and/or tumor cell metabolism
