Applications are invited for the temporary Project Position of Project Research Scientist – III (Non-medical) for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project (FIW-2024- 01-00000132) at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE), Indian Institute of Technology of Kanpur (IITK), UP, India
Title of the project: “A New Approach for Advancing Therapeutics in Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Development of Bioengineered JAK Inhibitor-Based Local Therapy”
Project position: Project Research Scientist – III (Non-Medical)
Number of positions: 1
Qualification: 1. Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with five years’ post qualification experience or PhD + two years post qualification experience.
2. For Engineering / IT / CS – Four Years Graduate degree with Five years experience post qualification or PG degree with three years’ post qualification experience or PhD.
Age Limit: 45 years
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in drug delivery, polymer science, and biomaterials-based therapeutic systems for gastrointestinal diseases (such as inflammatory bowel disease). Applicants with a strong background in biomedical engineering, polymer chemistry, pharmaceutics, biotechnology, or tissue engineering are highly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with translational research, preclinical evaluation, and regulatory considerations for biomedical product development will be considered an added benefit.
Salary range: Rs. 78,000/- + 20% HRA
Duration: 1 year
